The hotside pipe that comes from the factory on the LLY trucks is often known to fail. The factory routing that it takes rubs on the power steering line, this causes the line to create a hole in the tube resulting in a boost leak and loss of power. From day one this is a problem and HSP Diesel knows that it can be a big one with no notice. This is why our Hot Side tube routes directly into the intercooler, this results in lower temperatures, better airflow, and the added clearance in those tight places. This allowed us to pressure test to over 100PSI and hold strong to prevent any boost leaks and because of the two-piece design, it installs even easier than others out there. The Cold side pipe is also made of a 3 Inch diameter tube. We mandrel-bent the tube to give the maximum flow of air and decrease the turbulence that is often seen inside these pipes.
