If you operate a 2011-2016 LML Duramax, you are likely aware of the fuel filter restriction sensor, which monitors the vacuum between the filter and the CP4 pump. Regrettably, this sensor can malfunction in two distinct ways:

* **Electrical Failure:** The sensor malfunctions electrically, triggering a “Change Filter” message and displaying zero filter life. This precludes the resetting of the filter’s life.

* **Sensor Leaks:** When the sensor commences leaking, vehicles without an aftermarket fuel system may encounter a crank/no-start issue. Conversely, those equipped with a lift pump may experience a fuel leak and difficulty starting the engine.
