This kit allows both you and your engine to breathe easy, featuring a mandrel-bent 4.5-inch intake tube for massive airflow gains. HSP's signature heat shield box eliminates unwanted hot air from entering the cold air intake.
By maintaining cooler intake air temperatures, the engine can perform more efficiently and with increased power. It's important to note that for every 1-degree increase in intake air temperature, there is a potential 3hp loss, which this kit helps to prevent.
It also features HSP's high-flow turbo mouthpiece, designed to re-route the factory PCV system and remove the factory resonator box, effectively preventing engine oil from gumming up the turbo and intake system.
(PCV re-route sold separately, see 003-1-HSP). This leads to a cleaner combustion process and improved engine longevity.
Additionally, the kit includes 3-inch mandrel-bent hot side and cold side tubes with an easy-to-install two-piece Y-bridge. The race-proven 5-layer silicone boots ensure a great fit that won't let you down.
The factory hot side intercooler tube is only 2.25 inches in diameter and has a 90-degree boot at the intercooler, which is prone to failure. HSP's solution is to run the hot side tube directly into the intercooler, resulting in lower temperatures, better airflow, and added clearance in tight places.
Our 3-inch cold side tube ensures your engine gets all the air it needs for optimal performance. The two-piece Y-bridge provides a leak-free seal, ensuring a reliable and hassle-free installation.
Also included is a 2-inch passenger-side up-pipe featuring .120 inch tubing and the best bellow on the market. The factory up-pipe is prone to failure at the riser due to excessive heat and pressure, and this upgrade addresses that issue.
