The Corvette C8 Base comes equipped with factory high-flow catalytic converters integrated into the stock exhaust manifold, designed to balance emissions compliance with performance. When upgrading to long tube headers, the catalytic converters are typically relocated or replaced, allowing for significantly improved exhaust flow, engine efficiency, and power gains—especially at higher RPMs. However, long tube headers often eliminate or modify the OEM cats, which may affect emissions compliance depending on local regulations.
