Let's face it: The original cap over your battery's positive terminal is a little flimsy and, well, old. This electrically-insulating pad protects your battery from short-circuiting on the steel battery cover. Installation is easy: Simply open your battery compartment, clean the cover, and stick on this insulation pad.
Note: The insulation pad is designed to fit the primary battery cover on Vanagon full camper, 7-passenger, and Weekender models, and will require minor trimming to fit auxiliary battery covers.
