This is our version of the upper front shock mount sleeve. It works the same as the original version except instead of the "knurling" VW used to create a tight fit into the bump stop, we made ours smooth and slightly larger top to bottom for the same effect. Additionally, we improved the original design by using 304 stainless steel instead of the quick-to-rust mild steel the originals were made from. Plus, the GoWesty version is less expensive! What is not to like?
