Complete Disc Brake Swap for Dodge Dana 70 SRW Axles
This disc brake conversion kit is built to eliminate the heavy and hard-to-service drum brakes found on 1981–1993 Dodge Dana 70 single rear wheel (SRW) axles. It includes everything needed to complete the swap and delivers better stopping performance, easier maintenance, and significant weight reduction—perfect for off-road applications.
The kit uses weld-on brackets and mounts the rotor behind the hub. It fits standard 15" steel wheels with a maximum 4" backspacing. All components ship ready to install, including rotors, calipers, pads, and lines. Not compatible with dually axles or bolt-on drum assemblies.

Longer studs may be needed (e.g., Dorman 610-215, 610-283.1, or 610-363)
Kit only works if your original drum installs behind the hub (not slip-on style)
Ensure a minimum of 5/8" lug nut thread engagement after wheel installation
Re-bleed brakes after installing the kit
If needed, upgrade to a larger 82–85 B350 master cylinder (NAPA M2134)
An adjustable proportioning valve is recommended for brake bias tuning
Remove any residual valves to avoid rear brake drag or lockup
This kit is only for Dodge Dana 70 SRW axles—will not fit Ford, Chevy, or dually applications
Check your axle flange-to-hub measurement (must be ~5.68") for proper fitment
