Exergy 01-04 Chevrolet Duramax 6.6L LB7 Sportsman CP3 Pump (LBZ Based w/FCA)
Exergy Sportsman pumps have the following improvements over a stock pump making them a great replacement option: Higher flowing valves that last longer than stock, DLC coated plungers that are less likely to score/seize, More surface area to carry pumping loads. They also continue to increase flow with RPM beyond 3,000 RPM. Stock pumps typically stop increasing flow when RPM exceeds approximately 3,000 RPM.
Note: The Sportsman CP3 pumps intended for LB7 engines are an LBZ based pump with an LB7 fuel pressure regulator for ease of tuning. Please note, these should only be used on LB7 applications. Though a lift pump is not required, to achieve maximum pump performance a fuel supply of 150 GPH @ 8-10 psi per pump is recommended.
This pump can be used as a direct replacement for Bosch part numbers 0 445 020 017, 0 445 020 005, and 0 986 437 303, as well as GM Part numbers 97208073 and 97720662.
