Complete spring-over-axle kit for FJ40 using FJ60 axles; welding required
This kit provides the core hardware to perform a spring-over-axle conversion on an FJ40 when using FJ60 axles. It includes perches, plates, hangers, shackles, U-bolts, shock brackets, and frame brackets so you can set up the suspension without piecing parts together. Leaf springs are not included so you can choose the rate and length that fit your build. The degree plate (0° or 10°) lets you set caster/pinion to suit your steering and driveline targets.
You can run the kit with or without a shackle reversal based on your packaging and ride characteristics. As with any SOA, mock up the axle to verify pinion angle, caster, shackle angle, brake line routing, and driveshaft clearance before welding. Final assembly requires full welding of all mounting points, followed by a complete fastener and alignment check. Use the included diff-cut perch where U-bolt clearance is tight near the third member.

Note: This kit is for using FJ40 Leaf Springs which have a 3" mounting width. (Please call sales for assistance for use of other Springs.)
Perform all fit-up checks (caster, pinion, shackle angle, brake lines, and driveshaft clearance) before welding, then fully weld and recheck alignment. Use the diff-cut perch on the differential side to address U-bolt clearance near the third member. Leaf springs are not included; select springs appropriate to your weight, wheelbase, and ride goals.
