This square (flat-bottom) U-bolt fits 3.25" diameter axle tubes and uses a 5/8" (.625") rod for high clamping strength. Threads are rolled for durability with 5" of thread length to accommodate plates and springs; trim excess after installation. Each U-bolt is Grade 8 and includes tall nuts and 1/4" thick washers for proper stack-up.
Use with U-bolt plates designed for 5/8" hardware; plates with smaller holes may need to be drilled to 5/8" for clearance. Verify plate width and spring pack height during mock-up to ensure sufficient thread engagement past the nut. After final torque, re-check clamp load after initial miles or trail use.

Note
Ensure plates accept 5/8" U-bolts and that threads extend fully through the tall nut after torque. Cutting excess thread is acceptable once clamp load is verified; re-torque after the first shakedown.
