This is an exact replica of the no-longer-available differential slide "castle" piece (VW part number 094-517-133). Not only does this part look like the original... we actually had the metallurgy of the original part verified and matched. Yes, we really are that geeky. Basically, this part is as "OEM" as it gets” except that it's made right here in the USA!
This "castle" piece is used in all Syncro Vanagons originally equipped with the fully lockable front and/or rear axle. Works with either the original "open" differential or with the Peloquins® torque-biasing differential.
German engineering, USA manufacturing. It's the best of both worlds.
