We developed this as an alternative to the $2500 Maybach pump which is no longer in production.
This standalone power steering pump replaces the ABC (active body control) tandem pump on all V12 Mercedes-Benz vehicles when converting to coilover or airmatic airbag suspension systems, and eliminates the need to recirculate the ABC side of the tandem pump on V12 cars.
Direct fit with 7rib pulley ( fresh belt recommended while doing the service) includes correct brackets and matches the original reservoir hose size.
Note: To provide additional hose reach the original pressure hose needs the support bracket unbolted near rear of engine block. This allows the fitting to reach approximately 11cm further forward.
On SL models the hose bracket is hard to access behind exhaust shielding, and the hose can be completely replaced with part number 203.466.16.81
ABC reservoir can be removed completely on SL models, or separated from PS reservoir on S/CL-class.
Additionally, if required, the CL & S-class can use power steering hose number 220.460.22.24
Fits all V12 models for the C215, W220/W221, and R230/R231 chassis.
