12 gauge steel dual Optima tray with tight-fit tolerances and zero pre-drilled mounting holes.
This dual battery box was built for folks who are tired of cracked welds and flimsy trays. Most failures we've seen come from thin material and poor weld placement. Ours is built from 12-gauge steel with smart weld positioning—especially around the MIG-welded center tab—to prevent fatigue from vibration over time.
It fits two Optima batteries side-by-side, widthwise, with tight tolerances to keep them secure without needing thick or bulky materials. Each battery section is formed to match the shape of modern Optima tops, but older Optimas will also fit without issue. The inside base dimensions for each battery are 9.75" x 7.20", with outside box dimensions of approximately 16.6" x 10 1/8" x 6.85". Keep in mind, Optima measures their batteries at the cap—ours fits the base—so the caps will slightly overhang the box edges. No mounting holes are pre-drilled, giving you full freedom to bolt or weld the box in wherever it makes the most sense for your rig.
