This Optima battery box was made with fabricators in mind—built from a single piece of 12-gauge mild steel with no welds and tight fitment to minimize vibration. The tray holds the base of the Optima 34/78 series battery precisely, while the formed top plate clamps down cleanly. There are no pre-drilled mounting holes, so you're free to drill or weld it in exactly where and how you need for your setup. Whether you're working under the hood, in the bed, or behind the cab, this box gives you full flexibility.
Inside dimensions match the battery base (9.75" L x 6.8" W x 6.63" H), not the cap. The battery top will overhang slightly, which is expected. Outside box dimensions are roughly 10" L x 8.58" W x 6.85" H. Designed to mount in either direction, it's a great choice for trail rigs, crawlers, tow rigs, or anything in between. Fits Group 34/78 Optima Red, Yellow, and Blue tops only.
