Finally, a low cost alternative for a common Vanagon problem!

The original lower spring plate (or "perch," as some call it) on Vanagon rear suspension arms is pretty thin and weak. Nine out of ten times, when one of these arms has to be replaced, it is simply due to the spring plate being rusted and/or broken. These GoWesty spring plates are thicker and way stronger than the originals.

Our perches come unpainted but we do give them a light zinc plating for corrosion resistance while they sit on our shelves (and yours) awaiting installation. Be sure to grind away the zinc plating anywhere you plan to apply a weld. And as always make sure your workspace is well-ventilated when you're grinding and welding.

Installation: Drill out the original spot welds, toss the old perches, line up the two holes on the replacement part with the existing two holes in the suspension arm, and weld up the other holes. It may sound complicated, but it is not that bad. If you can weld, it will be easy as pie! If you can't weld, you will be hiring a pro for the job anyway.

Fit note: One required per trailing arm, two per vehicle. Sold each.
