These reinforcement plates fix one of the major flaws in Toyota IFS frame design by adding critical strength where shock mount tears commonly occur. If you haven't torn your frame at the shock mounts yet, you probably know someone who has - the factory design just isn't strong enough for serious flexing. These plates prevent costly frame damage before it happens, keeping you on the trail instead of in the shop.
Made from 3/16" HR P&O steel, these 43" plates create a sandwich effect that turns thin factory steel into an effective I-beam several times stronger. At 30 lbs for the pair, they run from behind the crossmember to the shackle mount with cutouts for ID numbers and factory flanges. The top flap boxes to the rear of the motor mount for complete reinforcement.
